NAPLA Application for PLANC 2024 Scholarships
NAPLA is pleased to offer a limited number of scholarships to help its members attend the 2024 PLANC Conference! If you would like to apply for a scholarship, please review the terms below and complete this form by March 31, 2024.

Eligibility
Eligibility for scholarships is limited to current NAPLA members who serve as pre-law advisors in the NAPLA geographic region (comprising Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Washington, DC, Virginia, and West Virginia).  Where applicable, applicants must indicate that they have applied for and been denied full or partial funding for the conference from their home institution.

Terms
Scholarship recipients must attend the full PLANC 2024 Conference and lodge at the conference hotel, the InterContinental NOLA (see https://www.planc.org/planc-conference-hotel for hotel information).  Recipients must also complete a post-conference survey providing feedback to the NAPLA Board.

Payment
Award amounts will be determined by each recipient's needs and by available NAPLA funds, up to a maximum individual award of $2,000.  Scholarship funds may be applied to conference registration, travel costs, hotel accommodations, meals not covered by the conference program, and other reasonable expenses.

Where possible, NAPLA will make direct payment on each recipient's behalf (e.g. for conference registration or hotel reservations).  Where direct payment is not possible, NAPLA will reimburse approved expenses following the conference, subject to fulfilment of the terms indicated above.

Deadline
Scholarship applications must be submitted by March 31, 2024.  Applications received after this date will not be reviewed.  Scholarship recipients will be notified by April 12, 2024.

Those hoping to secure the "early bird" rate for the PLANC Conference (see https://www.planc.org/conference-registration) are encouraged to register for the conference by that deadline of March 3, 2024, and to apply for reimbursement in the scholarship application below.
