スイーツやフード、陶器などを扱う方々、会場に音や造形で彩りを与えてくれるアーティストの皆さまは、「コーヒー」をご自身の活動に置き換えてお答えください。
Tokyo Coffee Festival is celebrating its 11th year this year.
As we look ahead to the next decade, we have taken time to reconsider what kind of place we want this festival to be and what values it should hold.
The concept upheld by Farmers Market @ UNU, the organizer of Tokyo Coffee Festival, is:
“Exploring the relationship between food and people.”
If we translate this idea into the context of coffee, it becomes a question of how we choose to engage with coffee.
The world of coffee is constantly changing. For example, with the growing demand for coffee across many Asian countries, some say that in Japan it may become difficult to obtain specialty coffee at the prices we have been accustomed to.
Of course, this is only one example, and there are surely many other challenges and shifts in circumstances.
However, regardless of the situation, we believe that as long as there is love and curiosity for coffee, new flavors and cultures will always emerge.
With this perspective in mind, we would like to ask those who wish to participate as vendors at Tokyo Coffee Festival the following questions.
*If you work with sweets, food, ceramics, or other products—or if you are an artist who brings sound or visual expression to the venue—please replace “coffee” with your own craft or creative practice when responding.
