Workshop Description - The Cyberbullying and Cyber Safety presentation brings awareness to students and parents by showing how technology has impacted our day-to-day lives and the responsibilities that come with it. Although technology is beneficial, it also comes with repercussion when used criminally, such as cyber bullying/harassing another individual. They will discuss New Jersey criminal laws that pertain to cyberbullying, the consequences that may occur for the juvenile defendant and to his/her family. They will inform parents of the new technology trends juveniles are now using pertaining to "Sexting" and "Cyberbullying" and finally they will inform the parents how to keep their juveniles safe on social media.
