Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) is an academic, elective class offered to students at La Quinta High School. The purpose of this program is to prepare students for academic success in high school. This elective will provide students with appropriate study and organization skills and support for being successful in rigorous high school classes. As a result, students are often able to attend the colleges of their dreams. AVID has a very high placement rate for attendance in four-year colleges. This is achieved through student, parent, and tutorial teamwork.
