Student Interest Form: RCC Advocacy Days 2026
The Rachel Carson Council's annual in-person Advocacy Days on Capitol Hill is scheduled for March 25th-27th, 2026. Please note this date is subject to change because of Congressional Calendar changes. If RCC changes our dates, you will be notified immediately. Participation is limited to U.S. undergrad/master's level grad students and faculty. The RCC will cover most meals, provide lodging, and may be able to offer some need-based travel support for students. Never been to the Hill? No worries—now’s your chance! Join us for an evening lobby training, a full day of meetings with lawmakers on Capitol Hill, and meet other environmental leaders from across the country.

We will advocate and educate Congress to stop directing taxpayer dollars toward false climate solutions and end federal subsidies for wood pellets!

More details to follow. Participants are asked to arrive in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, March 25th for an advocacy/lobby training (exact location and timing will be sent to participants.) Participants will spend the following day, Thursday March 26th, advocating for environmental justice legislation on Capitol Hill. Friday, March 27th is a travel home day.

The RCC will be providing all nights of hotel lodging to maximize your Washington advocacy experience. No prior advocacy experience is required—just a great attitude, willingness to learn, and passion for environmental justice!

Please note that filling out this form does not guarantee participation. We will be in contact to confirm your participation in early 2026!

A lot of planning goes into this event, so we strongly request that you notify us by email no later than March 1st (diego@rachelcarsoncouncil.org) if you can no longer attend. Any cancellations after March 1st may affect your eligibility to participate in future RCC events, fellowships, and awards. You are also welcome to email any questions you may have!
