We currently have many active volunteers that positively impact our school on a daily basis! We are always looking for more Husky Community Volunteer. If you are interested in volunteer for Ann K. Fundraiser: On September 20th our Husky Community and the PTO will be hosting their Annual Husky Fun Run to raise funds to support the needs of the students, teachers and staff throughout the year. Listed below are the areas we need Husky Community Volunteers:
Advertising (before the event)
Logistics Coordination/Pledge Drive (throughout the entire event: Aug. 29 – Sept. 20th)
Walk Station (day of Walk-a-thon)
Marking student’s t-shirt as the make a lap (day of Walk-a-thon)
Copying and envelope stuffing (before the event)
Book Fair: Husky Community Volunteers will be needed to assist in all aspects of the book fair, which would include set-up of book fair, taking down the book fair, and working during the open hours. We have book fairs in September and April.
Working during the open hours
Classroom: Classroom teachers are always in need of Husky Community Volunteers. Here are some of the duties teachers could use your assistance:
Cutting things out at home (on going)
Stuffing Family Folders (Thursday)
Helping with student small groups (daily)
Planning classroom parties (as needed)
Other classroom tasks (daily)
School Library Circulation Desk
Read Aloud Day: Join the Ann K. Heiman Elementary Community for their annual “Read Aloud Day” event on February 8th and read a book aloud to a student. What a great way to give back to your school community!

Family Event Nights: We have several Family Event Nights throughout the school year and would love to have Husky Community Volunteers at these events:
Evans Fest Parade
Family Digital Citizenship Night
Family Movie Night
Parent Night Out
Field Day at the end of the year Ann K. Heiman Elementary host a field day for all of our students to celebrate the accomplishments of the year. We will need the following volunteers to:
Run a station (game or activity)
Assist with your child’s classroom
