Become a Mural Arts Program Art Education Partner Site for 2023-2025!

The City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Program invites schools and community non-profit organizations/agencies that serve youth ages 10-14 or 14-22 to apply to become Art Education Partner Sites. Preference will be given to those applicants serving youth in priority areas for the Department of Human Services. Art Education Partner Sites will host the Mural Arts Program’s Foundations and Innovations out-of-school time visual arts classes—twice weekly during the school year —for a minimum of 12-15 youth for a two-year period, from September 2023 to June 2025.

These workshops are the perfect way for middle and high school students to jump head-first into the worlds of art and art-making. Lessons focus on creative expression, project-based learning employing drawing, painting, photography, mixed media, mural making, and more to help students discover their distinctive artistic voices.

Recruitment and outreach to retain a program size of 15 students/participants.

Two dedicated partners to provide support to the partnership - such as Principal, Vice Principal, CEO, Program Coordinator, etc.

Dedicated space that includes tables, chairs, proper ventilation, copier, locked storage, access to a sink appropriate for art materials. Access to a Photoshop-ready computer lab is a plus.

Proof of liability insurance coverage.

Commitment to assist with providing and collecting data about participating youth in order to measure the effectiveness and impact of the program.
