School counselling staff assist students of all ages by providing a psychological counselling, assessment and intervention service. They can work collaboratively with principals, teachers, learning and support teams, parents and carers, and other agencies to support learning and wellbeing outcomes for students.

Privacy and Confidentiality

Everything you tell a school counsellor is confidential, UNLESS:

· You tell me you want to or have hurt yourself,

· You tell me about anyone hurting you (physically, emotionally, psychologically, sexually),

· You tell me that someone else is being hurt,

· You tell me something illegal.

         OR if you give me permission to talk to someone.

 In these cases, the counsellor will step you through and support you with the process of reporting this  relevant information
