B. Pilot Pathways

Candidates who wish to apply to United Virtual have multiple available entry points into the program. Each entry point has specific eligibility criteria, characteristics, and requirements that are determined primarily by the Candidate’s experience level and current certifications. As a result, not all entry points are available to, or appropriate for, all Candidates. Therefore, it is important that Candidates understand which is best for their respective career progression.
  • Direct Entry.     Candidates who qualify for the minimum hiring requirements are eligible to United Virtual.
  • FAA ATPL.     Candidates who have obtained an Airline Transport Pilot License issued by the Federal Aviation Administration are eligible to apply for United Virtual. Candidates who provide their ATPL are exempt from Initial Training and Operations Experience Training.
  • Accelerated Path.     Candidates who have previously completed Initial Training with United Virtual may have their application waived and may be eligible to complete Operations Experience Training with United Virtual.

C. Disqualification

Candidates are expected to maintain high standards of performance while in training. Performance measurements will be based on a Candidate’s entire training experience and will be inclusive of, but is not limited to, the following three (3) general criteria:
  • Training.     Candidates are expected to maintain an acceptable training level. Training failures incurred either during a Participant’s time in Training or prior to joining Aviate will be considered by United Virtual. The training standards that must be met include: no more than three (3) total failures, inclusive of both Written Exam and Practical Exam failures; no more than two (2) Written Exam failures; and no more than two (2) Practical Exam failures.
  • Dependability.     Candidates are expected to be dependable during tenure with United Virtual. Dependability standards that must be met include: no more than twenty-four (24) hours to respond to messages and for required acknowledgements; and no more than seventy-two (72) hours to complete the Written Exam and Practical Exam.
  • Discipline.     Candidates are expected to maintain a disciplinary record acceptable to United Virtual. Candidates should not have any history of blacklist or watchlist with the Infinite Flight Virtual Airline Regulatory Board nor have a history of suspension from the Infinite Flight Community.
