Rapid Runners Volunteer
Welcome to another summer of Rapid Runners! This program is a fun way to maintain great health, get exercise, meet new friends, and tackle a 5k race. This program is completely FREE and open to all abilities!

Each Monday, we will meet at a local park, stretch, and do some warm ups as a group. Runners will then be paired with volunteers to work on their jogging and walking. This training is based on the couch to 5k model. We will be training to eventually participate in the Grand Rapids Bridge Run on Sunday, September 15th.

Volunteers work on motivating, and encouraging runners. We start off very slow, and do a lot of walking. We gradually implement more jogging into the routine. We do have 1 or 2 members who are pros and can run a 5k already. Come with a positive attitude and ready to make some awesome new friends.

We plan on having 2 groups this summer. We will meet every Monday, July 1st through September 9th (excluding Labor Day)
