Spring 2021 CSC - Intro to Data Visualization with Python for the Scientist Workshop Sign Up
** This workshop is a virtual event taking place on March 19th from 2 - 4pm Eastern. Please sign up to be sent the Zoom link to attend. **

The Barnard College Computational Science Center is offering an introductory workshop on data visualization using Python. We'll be using Altair, a growing data visualization library similar to JavaScript's popular Vega package. Open to all levels, particularly suitable for those with little to no coding or Python experience. We'll be using Google's Colaboratory notebooks for the workshop.  The workshop will focus on working with neuroscience and climate science data to create various kinds of visualizations including line graphs, histograms, and maps.  The skills garnered in this workshop will be applicable beyond neuroscience and climate science, to any field where graphing data is useful.

Contact Bryn at bs3157@barnard or Claire at  csj2112@barnard with questions. Visit csc.barnard.edu for more information about the Computational Science Center.
