ABOUT THE WORKSHOP: This workshop is designed to empower students of all disciplines, interests, and abilities to become storytellers and investigators of theatrical form, using various contemporary technique used by professionals and teachers across the country. We will guide participants to articulate their interests through dramaturgical and physical investigation to generate original theatre.

WHY THIS TRAINING: This type of training empowers young people by uplifting the idea that each human being has a story worth telling and empowers them to utilize the tools of the theatre to tell that story. This workshop will build confidence, cultivate skills in teamwork and collaboration, and instill a proclivity for rigor and critical thinking.

WHY LEADVILLE: Both instructors have a strong history with and connection to the mountains, specifically the West, Americana, and the small mining towns of Colorado. They are interested in working with communities to generate stories about their world and in reaction to the cultures and histories around them.
