Mi-STAR Academy Application

Mi-STAR, the Michigan Science Teaching and Assessment Reform project, is developing a new Michigan-based, fully integrated, middle school science curriculum that is fully aligned with the new Michigan Science Standards. Mi-STAR is a partnership of public higher education and K-12 schools in Michigan. Mi-STAR is funded by the Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow Foundation.

The Mi-STAR Academy is a series of online modules designed to provide educators with the resources and skills to develop curriculum aligned to the Michigan Science Standards. The Mi-STAR Academy is available to secondary teachers via Canvas Course Software at Michigan Technological University. The academy is a series of online modules that build a working understanding of the three dimensions of the Michigan Science Standards, the Framework of K-12 Science Education and best practices of curriculum development.
