Head of Workshops

The Head of Workshops coordinates diverse workshops that promote Mexican culture and creative activities like cooking, arts, and mixology. This role involves collaborating with various university societies to deliver engaging and educational content. Candidates should have strong organizational skills, experience in event facilitation, and a passion for cultural and creative education.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage educational and cultural workshops that promote Mexican culture and issues relevant to our charitable objectives.

  • Liaise with speakers, workshop leaders, and other educational contributors.

  • Ensure content is informative, engaging, and aligns with our mission to educate and inform.

  • Engage with different university societies and arrange collaborations.

  • Expand workshop themes to include creative events such as cooking classes, cocktail making, and art sessions.

Characteristics we are looking for:

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to curate educational content.

  • Experience in educational programming or workshop facilitation.

  • Passion for cultural education and community engagement, with an interest in integrating practical, hands-on learning experiences.

Events Team

Members of the Events Team support the Head of Events and Head of Workshops in planning and executing events. Responsibilities include handling specific tasks like guest registration and decoration, and assisting in the setup and teardown of events.


Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of Events and Head of Workshops in all aspects of event planning and execution.

  • Aid in planing and executing events involving; contacting venues, vendors, decorations, bar services, security/first aid, or any other necessary component in an event or workshop.
  • Handle specific tasks such as guest registration, decoration, and coordination with vendors.
  • Assist in the setup and teardown of events, ensuring all operations run smoothly.

Characteristics we are looking for:

  • Good communication and organizational skills.

  • Team-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • Previous experience in hosting or organizing events is beneficial.
