Los Abogados is proud to honor individuals and organizations who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to the Latino community and legal profession. Please review the award categories below and submit a nomination for a fellow attorney, yourself, or someone within the legal field who best represents the selected category. You will be asked to provide details about the nominee and a brief description explaining why they deserve this recognition with the limit of 250 words.
- Daniel R. Ortega Jr. Lifetime Achievement Award – Honors an attorney with 25+ years of distinguished service who has made significant contributions to the community and/or legal profession and supported the mission of Los Abogados.
- Exemplary Service Award – Recognizes an attorney with 10–25 years of service who has promoted diversity in the legal field, improved access to legal services, supported civil rights, advanced legal education, and/or advocated for the Latino community.
- Emerging Leader Award – Celebrates an attorney with less than 10 years in practice who is a rising star and demonstrates dedication to community service and leadership.
- Community Service Award – Acknowledges a person or organization (not limited to attorneys) making a meaningful impact in the Hispanic community and supporting the mission of Los Abogados.
We look forward to honoring the selected awardees at our 2025 Gala.
All nominations must be submitted no later than June 30th.
