Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art
4525 Oak Street
Kansas City, MO 64111
Entrance to underground Parking Garage is off Oak Street, just south of 45th Street ($8 per car). Free lot at corner of 45th Street and Rockhill Road is available first come, first serve.

This field trip is open to all students enrolled during Crazy Messy Art Camp at ABC Preschool. Please have your preschooler wear their ABC Preschool t-shirt, for our group to be easily identified.

Families will NOT meet at ABC Preschool. If your child will be riding in someone else's vehicle, you will need to make special arrangements.

Join your ABC Preschool friends and family for an exciting all morning session exploring the museum collections, AND discovering sculpture and pop art pieces studied during our Crazy Messy Art Camp. At 10:00 am, students and their families will meet on the south steps of the museum near Auguste Rodin's "The Thinker" sculpture. We'll capture a group picture, discuss what we learned about Rodin, then families can venture indoors to explore the museum through a fun Scavenger Hunt. Admission is FREE.

Students and families who complete their Scavenger Hunt, and return their folder to Mrs Katy will receive a PRIZE! Since we are guests at Nelson-Atkins, our staff expects our students to be on their best behavior inside the museum corridors.

Per museum rules: Strollers are allowed in most spaces and collection galleries. Child carriers that attach to the front are allowed. Bags larger than a standard backpack need to be checked into coat check. Any backpack sizes or smaller can be worn on one shoulder.

At 11:30 am, families are welcome to participate in a picnic near the Shuttlecock sculptures in the Donald J. Hall Sculpture Park. Bring a bagged lunch, or fast food from the Museum restaurant. Bring a picnic blanket, and our staff will also have additional blankets. Families are free to come-and-go as they please.

No x-STREAM Kids on our field trip day.

Siblings are always welcome to participate in our field trips!
