Public Meeting on Gas Well Incident Near Beaver Run Reservoir
When: 6:30 pm, Feb. 28, 2019
Where: Delmont Volunteer Firehall 2360 PA-66 Delmont, PA 15626
What:
In late January 2019, CNX experienced drilling complications at one of their deep gas wells which resulted in pressure spiking at nearby shallow wells. Nine shallow wells, shown in the graphic, were continuously flared for days to relieve pressure. Yet authorities are claiming there were no impacts on the environment or nearby community.

Join us to learn what this incident means for nearby residents and the thousands of people who depend on the Beaver Run Reservoir. We will discuss how residents can take action to protect themselves from this and future incidents.

We will be inviting officials from MAWC and DEP. as well as Dr. John Stolz, the Director of the Center for Environmental Research and Education at Duquesne University.
