FLCS Out-of-District Transfer Application
Students who
do not reside
within Frankton-Lapel Community Schools' boundaries may submit an out-of- district transfer application to request to attend an FLCS school.
Transfer Request Application forms are due on or before
April 1st
of the school year prior to the one for which the transfer is requested.
The parent(s) should be certain to fill out all sections of the form in order for the application to be considered for approval.
Pursuant to I.C. 20-26-11-32, Frankton-Lapel Community Schools will give preference to requests for transfer from students who are children of Frankton-Lapel Community Schools employees, or students who are members of a household in which any other member of the household is a student in Frankton-Lapel Community Schools. The School Board will limit the number of new transfers to a school building or grade level. If the number of requests to transfer exceeds the capacity established, after giving priority to the students listed above the School Board will hold a random drawing at a public meeting to determine which students will be admitted as transfer students to each school building and each grade level.
Frankton-Lapel Community Schools show no discrimination on the basis of race, color, creed, religion, sex, age, handicap, or national origin.
All applications will be date/time stamped upon submission and will be processed in the order in which they are received.
By submitting an application, parents agree to provide their own transportation to and from school for the duration of the school year.
