Great Lakes Conservation Corps: Crew Leader Application
GLCC Crew Leaders are responsible for leading conservation crews consisting of young adults, aged 18-25 years old. Leaders manage their crew on specific UP wide work projects, assigned throughout the field season. They are responsible for the safety of their crew, delegating tasks to ensure project deliverables are completed well, communication with project partners in the field, submitting weekly data sheets and photos to supervisors, and organization of tools and supplies.

GLCC season is typically 12 weeks long, with potential for fall work.

GLCC frequently camps at or near project locations across the UP; Monday-Friday, returning to Marquette for weekends. Tents and cook gear are provided. Meal stipend and campsites are paid for during required camping.

GLCC Crew Leaders are seasonal employees. They are paid an hourly rate, typically working 40 hours a week (Monday-Friday). Work vehicles and tools are provided by the SWP.
