Part Time Employee Assessment
Please answer the following questions so we can partner with the City to better design a potential parking program for part time employees in Downtown.
We are defining "daytime part-time" employees as those who work fewer than 30 hours M-F between the hours of 8am-5pm. We understand that some employees work a combination of days, evenings and weekends of 40 hours. For the purpose of this answer, please tell us the total number of employees you have that would work any amount of time as defined above as "daytime part-time" (exclude full time employees defined as 40 hours M-F) *
For example: You have 10 employees total. 2 are full time weekday "typical workday" employees. Two work exclusively weekends, never M-F. The other 6 work a combination of day shifts, evening shifts and weekend shifts. But during the "typical workday" as defined by 8am-5pm M-F schedule, they are considered part-time because they work fewer than 30 hours/week in the defined "typical workday" period. So you'd write 6 as your answer.
How many of those "part-time" employees work on any given day? *
For example: Two of your employees are "full time". You have 5 other staff who work at some point in some combination between 8am-5pm. On your busiest day, part-timers Susie and Bill come in from 10am-2pm. Bob comes in from 11am to 4pm. Other days there's a different combination of workers but the shift totals are still 3 total part-timers in a day. You don't count the full-timers. So your answer is 3.
We are defining "evening part-time" employees as those who work between the hours of 3pm-midnight. We understand that some employees work a combination of days, evenings and weekends and some may already be counted in question 1. Duplications are OK and expected because of the shifts. For the purpose of this answer, please tell us the total number employees you have that would work any amount of time as defined above as "evening part-time" *
How many of those "part-time" employees work on any given evening? *
For example: Two of your employees are "full time" M-F 8am to 5pm workers. You have 10 other staff working at some point in some combination between 3pm-2am. On your busiest day, you have 5 employees come in on stagger shifts throughout the evening. So your answer is 5, not 10.
DAY SHIFTS: Retail and Restaurant workers typically work in staggered shifts. Please define your shift schedule so we can better understand when your employees arrive to work. *
For example: If you open at 7am and you have 4 employees come in at 6am and another 2 are scheduled to arrive at 7am then put: 6am - 4; 7am - 2, and so on. We understand that these vary by day. We are looking for estimates for M-F.
NIGHT SHIFTS: Retail and Restaurant works typically work in staggered shifts. Please define your shift schedule so we can better understand when your employees arrive to work. *
For example: If your evening shifts begin at 3pm and you have 4 employees come in at 3pm and another 2 are scheduled to arrive at 4pm then put: 3pm - 4; 4pm - 2, and so on. We understand that these vary by day. We are looking for estimates for M-F.
