Bloomingdale Public Schools: Return to School Parent Survey
Due to the COVID-19 virus, we have to prepare for many different scenarios. The possibilities being discussed in Van Buren County are:
1. In-person, face-to-face instruction with proper precautions and safety measures
2. Remote/distance learning using technology and other means
3. A combination of in-person, face-to-face instruction and remote/distance learning
Please keep in mind that when and how Bloomingdale Public Schools and other schools reopen will be dependent upon the guidance and mandates from the Center for Disease Control, our local health department, and the standing executive orders from the governor's office.
Please take a moment to complete this survey regarding our return to school this fall.

Assuming that schools are permitted to return to in-person face-to-face instruction in the fall with proper precautions and safety measures (e.g., strict social distancing guidelines, sanitation protocols, use of masks), I plan on...
Having my child(ren) return to school in person
Having my child(ren) participate in BPS's K-12 teacher created remote learning curriculum utilizing Schoology which will align directly with our face-to-face instruction
Having my child(ren) attend BPS's 9-12 Strive Alternative Academy
Homeschooling my child(ren) utilizing my own curriculum
Assuming that schools are permitted to return to in-person face-to-face instruction in the fall with proper precautions and safety measures, it may be an impossible task for BPS to provide transportation to and from school for all students who normally ride a school bus because of limits that will be placed on the number of students who can ride a bus at one time. Therefore, we may need as many families as possible to transport their children. Which statement best describes your family's situation regarding transporting your child(ren)? *
We will be able to transport our child(ren) to and from school.
We cannot transport our child(ren), so we would need school provided transportation.
I will not be sending my child(ren) to school in the fall.
I currently have high speed Internet in my home or I plan on getting Internet service in my home due to the fact my child(ren) may need to attend school virtually at times during the school year.
