Forum - Arts in Special Education
This forum is a gathering of artists, arts educators, teachers, students, parents and everyone who is interested in discussing the role of the arts in special education. The forum begins with a short presentation of the research findings from the project "Examining practices and pedagogies in the arts in Special Education (SPED) Schools in Singapore", followed by a panel discussing the key question “What role does the arts serve in special education?”. The forum ends with a breakout session inviting audience members to further contribute to the conversation.

The moderator for the panel discussion is Ms Farah Ong (actress, performer, teacher, SDEA Committee member/Drama)
The panelists include: Mr Chandran R (Director & Founder of ACT 3 Theatrics/Drama) , Mr Syed Ibrahim (Former founder of OneHeartBeat/Music-Drumming), Ms Ranae-Lee Nasir (teacher/Visual Arts), and Ms Kavitha Krishnan (Creative Director/ Choreographer of Maya Dance Theatre/Dance).
