Please read ALL first. We're so glad you're here because this means you're beginning the necessary steps to become a certified run coach through VCPM, Inc.’s Game Changers program in New York City (5 boroughs).

Each year, the Game Changers Program brings in more Women of Color as Certified Run Coaches to redefine who we see as the experts and leaders in the run industry. In partnership with New York Road Runners (NYRR), we are opening up the program specifically for New York City residents only (residing in the 5 boroughs: Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens & Staten Island). Program includes 1) Full funding for your Road Runners Club of America Level 1 run coach certification which focuses on adult distance running (including 1 run coach certification test + CPR/FA certs) totaling $375 approx., 2) Formal Mentorship with a Game Changers Mentor and an Accountability Partner 3) Access to a Business Consultant to strategize whether your run coach certification is best served as a business or side hustle or perhaps something else and 4) Paid Apprenticeship with NYRR with potential employment as a NYRR Group Training Coach. The goal is to equip you to be a Game Changer during this approx 8 month program (January-August 2026) and not to simply provide funds. Please apply ONLY if you can commit the time and effort to propel this change in the industry and if you have been running for a minimum of two years.

Recipients will be contacted by Wednesday 1/28/26 via email and MUST respond within 48 hours or the spot will be forfeited. Recipients must register, upon receipt of registration link, to the RRCA Certified Run Coach training which is taking place virtually on Saturday Feb 21 @ 9-6PM EST AND Sunday Feb 22 @ 9-6PM EST (must virtually attend both days). Open to US residents only, 21 years or older. Please apply ONLY if you are a NYC resident, can meet all date requirements and can attend these specific certification dates. This is not for those who are already certified run coaches.
