2025 CVMA Awards Nominations
CVMA has two annual awards to recognize those outstanding members of the veterinary profession!

The CVMA Veterinarian of the Year Award recognizes the achievements of a CVMA member veterinarian. CVMA is proud to honor and celebrate these member veterinarians for their contributions to the veterinary profession in Colorado. 

Eligibility
  • This award is open to current CVMA member veterinarians. 
  • Veterinarians must not have received the Veterinarian of the Year Award within the past 10 years.
  • Veterinarians may be employed in any field of work (practice, research, education, organization, public service, or regulatory service), or may also be retired.

The CVMA Distinguished Service Award recognizes an individual who has contributed outstanding service to the advancement of veterinary medicine over an extended period of time in Colorado in any or all aspects of the profession.

Eligibility
  • This award is open to anyone serving the profession (not limited to veterinarians or CVMA members)
  • Must not have received a CVMA award within the past 10 years.

Timeline for all CVMA Awards
  • July 1: Nomination submission deadline
  • August 1: Winners and nominators notified 
  • September 11: Winners recognized during CVMA Member Meeting at Convention
