The House of Feathers with Laura Simms
Fridays, August 7-28, 6:30 – 7:30pm EDT
All ages.... including pets and mythical creatures

Laura will tell one story each of four evenings .. followed by participant conversation, drawing or sudden bouts of laughter, dance and tales of your own Laura Simms is one of the best known storytellers in the world today. Her work brings together meditation and the study of oral narrative.
Materials needed: plain paper, magic markers, eyes , ears and imagination.

Laura Simms has been an award winning storyteller, author and educator for five decades. She has studied with mythologist Joseph Campbell, Native American Elder Vi Hilbert, and African and Central Asian Epic Singers. Her study has include Training in Council with Jack Zimmerman and most recently with the Constellation - an international process for m Community Development and Mediation. She is a senior teacher of Meditation, part of the Shambhala Faculty and a Dharma Art teacher. Laura;s most recent books are OUR SECRET TERRITORY: The Essence of Storytelling (sentient books) and BECOMING THE WORLD (orig. published by Mercy Corps) is being reprinted.
