So you have an ancestor (or neighbor or friend or stuff) that served during the First World War?
You can use this form to tell us about this WWI related person and/or objects and we'll get it added to the "Remembering World War One" digital archive in the Connecticut Digital Archive. You'll just need to provide the digital images (tiff files are preferred) and some information. If you need guidance on how to digitize your objects please visit

* You must be a Connecticut resident to participate OR the person you are remembering must have lived in Connecticut at the time of the war.
* We cannot accept any objects that are under copyright or objects that you do not own.
* We will accept photographs, military records, letters, diaries, postcards, uniform items, souvenirs - as long as it is related to WWI.
* You must sign the Memorandum of Digital Rights to participate.

So here is what you need to do to participate.
1) You'll need to set up a folder in a file sharing service like Dropbox or Google Drive. If you're not sure how to do this, email us and we'll send you a link to a folder you can use.
2) You'll need to ensure that you have scanned or photographed all the objects you wish to include in the archive.
3) Download and sign the Memorandum of Digital Rights. This can be done electronically or you can print, sign and scan it.
4) Once it is signed upload it to a file sharing service along with the WWI related digital images you want to include.
5) Fill out this form. At the end you'll be asked to provide a link to the folder containing the Memorandum of Digital Rights and digital images.
And that is it! We'll try to get it added to the Connecticut Digital Archive as quickly as possible, but please note this may take some time.
