Stop the sale of SCCCU to a Hotel Developer
I the undersigned member of Santa Cruz Community Credit Union, (SCCU), object to the SCCCU Board's decision to sell the downtown Credit Union property to a developer who intends to build a luxury hotel.

Such a sale is incompatible with the Mission, Vision, and History of the SCCCU. The SCCCU is a "member-owned...not-for-profit financial cooperative that promotes economic justice... [and] positive social and economic change... Our primary mission is to strengthen our community. We are environmentally conscious in all our practices."

I believe, that, if the board desires to sell the land and building of the main branch, the SCCCU must follow their Mission Statement and only sell the land and building for use primarily for housing, to include significant low income housing.

I hereby request a Special Meeting to be called with sufficient time before the sale is finalized, so that members can revisit this decision and vote whether or not to reverse this sale.
