As we have projects and situations that require support we will reach out if you have indicated interest in a relevant area. Please note that some of our volunteer areas will require some short training that we will deliver to you should you indicate interest.

Our Areas of Need:

Language Services - Interpretation and/or document translation.
Transportation Services - Transporting clients who have been released from detention.
Community Outreach - Engaging in and with the local community to raise awareness and support for our clients.
Event Volunteering - Supporting Aldea's events.
Legal Volunteers - Support with legal drafting and remote preparation for clients and monitoring fear interviews.

Language Services - Availability *
Please indicate when you think you will be available. We have need for folks who are available on short notice (within an hour of contact), as well as longer term scheduled services. If you are available for either, please select both!

Please indicate any languages you are able to support us with. We have many clients with a variety of language needs, so if you have skills in a language not listed feel free to include those as well.

Transportation Services *
Do you live near one of the detention centers (York, Berks) and/or Philadelphia and have a vehicle? Detainees occasionally need transport to bus stations, airports, or local sponsors once they have been released. Volunteers would generally receive at least 24 hours notice

Community Outreach *
Opportunities may include attending court hearings at the York Immigration Court in support of our clients, contacting local officials and lawmakers, sharing social media posts, attending County Commissioners Meetings and other stakeholder meetings, and more.
Event Volunteering *
Could include donations/creation of materials, event set up/break down, and transportation of materials.
Legal Volunteers *
Tasks may include taking part in remote Credible Fear Interviews, drafting short motions, drafting an appeal brief and/or MTR, researching and updating template issue briefs, and more.
