Mental Health First Aid Training
Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders. This training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care. The training will be provided at no cost to you.

• At this time we are currently offering Virtual Mental Health First Aid Training and hope to start to offer in-person in the near future.  The trainings include a 2 hour self-paced on online portion and a 4.5 hour instructor led portion for Youth Mental Health First aid and a 5.5 hour instructor led portion for Adult Mental Health First Aid.
TRAINING OPTIONS:
VIRTUAL: First Aiders will complete a 2-hour, self-paced online course,
and then participate in a 4.5 to 5.5-hour, Instructor-led video conference.

• BLENDED LEARNING(online and instructor led zoom or in-person):  After completing a 2-hour, self-paced online
course, First Aiders will participate in a 4.5 to 5.5-hour, zoom or in-person, Instructor led
class.

• IN-PERSON (completely in person instructor led course (will have to register and do evaluation online)): First Aiders will receive their training as an 6.5 hour Youth Mental Health First Aid instructor-led, in-person course or a 7.5 hour Adult Mental Health First Aid instructor led course
