Youth Mental Health First Aid Training
Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA), is designed to increase general knowledge of common mental health challenges that youth often face, how to recognize the signs that a youth may be experiencing a mental health or substance use problem, and how to provide help to that youth. The training will be provided at no cost to you.
• In addition, this training has been approved for .08 continuing education units for educators through Jackson State University’s School of Lifelong Learning and for 8 hours of continuing education credits for School Resource Officers by the Mississippi Department of Public Safety. Participants are responsible for any cost associated with CEUs.
