Camp fYrefly Youth Advisory Committee
Camp fYrefly Southern Alberta is a 4-day leadership retreat for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, two-spirit, intersex, asexual and allied youth located in Kananaskis.
We are looking for a diverse group, of no more than 10 young people (ages 14-24), to form the Camp fYrefly Youth Advisory Committee starting in March. As a member of a Camp fYrefly Committee, you will brainstorm ideas, activities and workshops, connect with other youth and be an important part of Camp fYrefly 2020. We value multiple perspectives and want to hear lots of different voices at this table. Everyone is welcome to apply - we are especially hoping to hear from people of colour, trans-feminine youth, people with disabilities, asexual and two-spirit/indigenous youth.
Applications are due March 15th and will be selected by March 22nd. This Committee will begin to meet in late March. Participation in this committee in a manner that aligns with the committee guidelines guarantees participation as a Camper or Youth Leader at Camp fYrefly 2020.
