Your opinions on Social Media and Eating Disorders
INFORMATION ABOUT THIS SURVEY

Social Media and Eating Disorders Campaign and Roundtable Event
As part of the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Eating Disorders, Dump the Scales will be hosting a government roundtable event in June to discuss the impact of social media and online platforms on eating disorders.

We are also planning to discuss the impact of social media on people with eating disorders in the media and across social media.

This survey is designed to help us represent the voices of people with lived experience, their parents and carers, and researchers and clinicians from the eating disorders field in this piece of work.

How will my answers be used?
We are hoping to use quotes from this survey:
  1. To inform MPs about the impact of social media on people with eating disorders.
  2. On Dump the Scales social media accounts and website.
  3. To identify people who are happy to discuss their experiences with the media.

Will my answers be anonymous?
You will have the option to choose to keep your responses anonymous if you prefer.

Who is this survey open to?
  • People with current or previous experience of an eating disorder.
  • Carers of people with an eating disorder.
  • Clinicians and researchers working in the eating disorders field.

How long will this survey take?
We estimate this survey will take around 10-15 minutes to complete but it depends how much detail you want to go into.

How will my answers be stored?
Your data will be safely and securely stored, and kept in line with GDPR best practice. It will only be used for the purposes of the social media roundtable campaign. Please contact us at dumpthescales@gmail.com if you have any further questions.
