All volunteers are also required to follow the Adaptive Sports Association’s policies and procedures and will be required to sign a Participant Assumption of Risks, Acknowledgment of Inherent Risks and Indemnity Agreement before or upon your participation.
The programs we offer are adventurous and exhilarating outdoor activities. Natural and man-made elements and equipment variables are inherent risks of participation. Incidents with these factors can result in serious or fatal injury.
As a volunteer, it is also important that you take responsibility for your own experience, as well as the experience of others. Please observe the “Your Responsibility Code” when skiing, snowboarding, biking or participating in any of our other adventure programs on the mountain. It is key that you work with your instructor to ensure the best experience possible.
An updated waiver for the 2017-18 ski season will be given to you at volunteer orientation or upon your arrival to our mountain office (located at the base of Columbine at Purgatory Resort). If you have any questions or would like to review a previous version of the waiver, please contact Klancy Nixon at 970-385-2163 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
