Leading Institutional Change Workshop
In today’s world, change is a given, whether in the workplace, the lab, at school, or within APS. Most people experience some level of stress or discomfort when confronting the disruptions change can bring. Whether it is a change in priorities, budgets, direction of a project, or new team members, understanding how we react to change and how to lead others through change is critical to your professional success. Learn a step-wise process to guide you to more effectively lead yourself and others through change.

The APS, with grant funding from the NSF, will be provide a workshop for senior women in physics at the April 2019 APS meeting. This workshop will focus on leadership with the goal of providing a framework and tools for senior women to be agents of change within their professional circles. Senior women who are seeking to acquire the skills to advocate for change in their institutions and organizations, should submit an application by November 30, 2018. Nominations will also be accepted. There is limited space and attendees will be selected based on application submissions. All expenses for participation in this workshop will be covered by a grant from the NSF.
