Join other Los Angeles teens in our Craft Youth Culture program to learn from professional teaching artists to create your own fiber and clay works to exhibit at the museum!
Be a part of studio art classes, gallery conversations, art field trips, artist studio visits, special events and so much more:
- Explore the mediums and concepts associated with ceramics and fiber through a lens of contemporary art and culture- Work with two local professional teaching artists to create your own fiber and ceramic projects- Exhibit your final work at the museum - Experience first-hand the behind-the-scenes operations of an art museum and tour current exhibitions- Engage with professionals working in the arts- Get free admission to the museum, special events & art workshops
Registration is currently OPEN to highly motivated teens who are currently in 9 - 12th grade and who can commit to being an active attendee of all classes, both Session 1- Fiber and Session 2- Ceramics.
The Craft Youth Culture program will meet weekly on Thursdays from 4:30 - 6:30pm (some changes to the schedule may occur) from September 26, 2019 - May 14, 2019.
Sign up by Sunday, July 21, 2019 and a group interview will take place on the first week of August. After submitting this form, you will here back from us within one week. If for some reason, you have not received a follow-up email, please contact us with the information below.
The entire program is FREE and the museum will provide TAP cards or reloads if needed. if selected for htis program, you are expected to attend all ten sessions
