C4CL Coach Interest Form

Thank you for your interest in coaching with C4CL! We are excited to connect with Executive Coaches who believe in our mission and are eager to channel their personal and authentic desire to leverage their coaching skills to advance equity and expand opportunities for historically marginalized communities.

While your coaching expertise and commitment to empowering others are important, being a C4CL coach requires more than skill or passion—it involves embodying or actively working toward embodying, the core principles and guiding commitments that define our coaching practice. These commitments are foundational to our work because they ensure that we approach coaching in a way that minimizes harm and maximizes impact, particularly in industries where we may not typically work and with client populations who may differ from our usual clients.

The principles described below serve as critical guideposts for how we engage with clients and reflect the intentionality required to create meaningful, transformative coaching experiences rooted in equity, respect, and accountability.

As we review applications and engage in discussions with prospective coaches, these principles will be at the heart of our vetting process. This is not about exclusivity but about ensuring alignment with the practices that make our work impactful. By joining our bench of coaches, you will play a pivotal role in advancing equity while continuously learning and growing alongside us in this shared commitment.

Another key aspect of serving as a C4CL Coach is that our goal is to make coaching with C4CL a valued option for your income. While we are not yet in a position to offer market rates for all coaching engagements with C4CL, we ask that you answer honestly in the questionnaire to follow about your fee requirements to ensure that coaching with C4CL will be a sustainable commitment for you.

We look forward to learning more about you and exploring how your coaching expertise and values align with C4CL’s mission. Thank you for considering this meaningful work!

C4CL Coaches Guiding Principles

A C4CL Coach is not only an experienced and impactful Executive Coach but also embodies a unique blend of skills, beliefs, and practices that make them deeply passionate about helping clients be seen, respected, and empowered for who they are. They guide clients in navigating inequities while amplifying their unique strengths within complex systems of power. Through this approach, a C4CL Coach creates a transformative coaching experience that affirms, equips, and inspires clients from diverse backgrounds to thrive as leaders and change makers in the communities they serve. C4CL Coaches actively and authentically aspire to embody the following guiding principles:

  1. Commitment to Interrupting Inequities:
C4CL Coaches are deeply committed to addressing inequities, both within themselves and in the broader systems their clients navigate. They continuously engage in self-reflection and learning about systemic oppression, ensuring their coaching is rooted in authenticity and accountability.

  2. Culturally Attuned Awareness:
With a nuanced understanding of historical systems of oppression—including white supremacy, patriarchy, and capitalism—C4CL Coaches help clients contextualize their experiences and that of the communities they serve within these structures. Over the course of the coaching relationship, they persistently and strategically unpack biased beliefs, using a range of methods to foster deeper self-awareness and transformative change.

  3. Humility and Mutual Learning:
Recognizing that their own biases may persist, C4CL Coaches approach each client relationship with humility and an openness to learn from their clients’ unique perspectives. This creates a coaching partnership grounded in respect, trust, and a shared commitment to growth.
