Applications are now being accepted for Students who would like to join the Strategic Plan Guiding Coalition Steering Committee. It is a dedicated group of school district students, parents/care-givers, district staff, and community members.
The coalition will make sure that we are staying true to the stated vision of our new, 5-year strategic plan and approve large changes in direction. We are committed to student voices being a part of our continued work.
This Steering Committee will meet every month for up to 8 times each year (not in July, August, or December this year), in-person, on the last Thursday of the month for up to two hours from 5:00-7:00pm. Twice a year, the committee may engage in a longer retreat, in place of their monthly meeting to do more in-depth reflection and planning. Members of the coalition will be compensated at a rate of $25 per hour and dinner will be provided at all evening meetings.
At the meetings, the committee will share updates on progress in the priority areas, learn from each other about ways to support the work, gather evidence and feedback about impact, and make plans for further progress. The committee will also reflect on whether the current strategic planning work is student-centered and responsive, and to what extent your school district is adhering to our stated initiatives.
