STEWARDSHIP OF TIME
Christ calls on each of us to participate in our Faith on a constant basis. When we actively and regularly participate in faith based activities, we are drawn closer to Christ, and desire even more participation. At St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church we are a family. When you are not in attendance, Christ and we miss you. When you are in attendance we are overjoyed. Please read the following pledges and mark them. This will serve as a reminder of your commitment to the Lord.
May God continue to bless you and your family.
As an Orthodox steward I pledge the following:
I pledge to attend the Divine Liturgy more frequently. (Weekly, monthly, Feast Days, Lent, Holy Week)
I pledge to participate in the sacraments more frequently (Communion, Confession, Holy Unction)
I pledge to pray daily.
I pledge to read the Bible, or other Orthodox texts daily. (
dailyreadings@GOARCH.ORG
, Church Fathers, Orthodox publications)
I pledge to learn more about my Orthodox Faith this year. (Adult Catechism, suggested Orthodox study texts)
I pledge to follow a Daily Prayer Rule. (Please contact Fr. John for guidance)
OFFERING OF TREASURES
The early Christians would make weekly offerings to the church in order to thank God for His benevolence. Our Stewardship Program attempts to recreate the habit of weekly offerings. Remember that we are working toward becoming a True Stewardship Parish.
In gratitude for God's blessings, I/we pledge to contribute for Christ's work at my Saint Barbara Greek Orthodox Church.
Dollar amount of stewardship donation.
