Individual Membership Categories and Liabilities

Affiliate Members
Do not require to be permanent residents of Carrbridge but must support the objects of the Organisation.
May include under 16’s with parental consent
You will be included in Carr-Bridge Ahead Members email distribution lists, invited to all AGMs and Extraordinary General Meetings and consultations on future developments in Carr-Bridge.
Associate Members are NOT able to vote at AGMs and general meetings, nor can they stand for election as Directors or Trustees.

Member
Permanent Resident in Carrbridge (Electoral roll).
You will be included in Carr-Bridge Ahead email distribution lists, invited to all AGMs and Extraordinary General Meetings and consultations on future developments in Carr-Bridge.
Members are able to vote at AGMs and general meetings, as well as stand for election as Directors and Trustees.

Liabilities of Members (Article 14 of Articles of Association)

Each member undertakes that if the company is wound up whilst they are a member
(or within one year after they cease to be a member), they will contribute - up to a
maximum of £1 (one pound) - to the assets of the company, to be applied towards:

(a) payment of the company’s debts and liabilities contracted before they cease to be a member;
(b) payment of the costs, charges and expenses of winding up; and
(c) adjustment of the rights of the contributories among themselves.
