Apply for Accelerator

This Accelerator Program is designed as a comprehensive initiative aimed at identifying, nurturing, and scaling innovative projects within the Internet Computer Protocol (ICP) ecosystem. This document outlines the structure, objectives, and implementation strategy of the program, which is segmented into two distinct phases catering to varying levels of project maturity.

Introduction

The ICP Accelerator Program embarks on a mission to push innovation in the blockchain space, guiding entrepreneurs and developers through a transformative journey from ideation to market-ready solutions on the Internet Computer. Our ambition is to build a thriving ecosystem of blockchain innovators committed to driving change and pushing the boundaries of what's possible with technology.

Diversity and Inclusion

The Accelerator Program is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment. We actively seek applications from a broad range of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives, ensuring equitable opportunities for all participants. Our selection process and program activities are designed to celebrate diversity, promote inclusivity, and drive innovation through a multitude of viewpoints.

Program Structure and Phases

The SynergyLabs Accelerator Program is uniquely structured into two distinct but interconnected phases, designed to accommodate projects at different stages of maturity and ambition. This bifurcated approach ensures that we can cater to a wide range of participants while also providing intensive support to those ready to scale.

Phase 1:
Ideation to MVP (Day 0 - Day 90) - Level 0 to 1

The first phase of the SynergyLabs Accelerator Program is the foundation, designed to onboard a broad spectrum of participants from idea-stage entrepreneurs to early-stage startups. This phase is self-paced and focuses on ideation, foundational learning, and the development of a Minimum Viable Product (MVP). This 90-day schedule is full of educational sessions, workshops, and mentorship opportunities aimed at refining project ideas and kickstarting the development process.

Participants will set their own target levels (following the rubric) for the end of this phase and determine the support needed, which will be facilitated through peer interactions and mentor guidance. It is expected that projects will actively also find mentors to be part of their journey, who are a good fit for their niche.

Key activities include:
  • Weekly Pitch Events: Projects will participate in pitch events where they present their progress and are evaluated. These sessions are critical for receiving feedback and are followed by a rating and progress tracker.

  • Weekly Progress Blog/Vlog: Each project is required to document their weekly progress through a blog or vlog and publish it on X. This enhances visibility and community engagement.

  • Active Participation: Attendance at pitch events is mandatory. Projects absent without notice or unprepared may be removed from the program for not following guidelines.

  • Grant Disbursement: Based on the growth and progress demonstrated after four weeks, projects may be eligible for grants to support their development efforts.

By the end of Phase 1, participants who advance to level 2 or beyond are eligible to move into Phase II, which continues the journey with a focus on scaling, development upgrade and market entry.

Participants will engage in:
  • Education and Ideation (Week 1): Participants engage in intensive learning sessions to grasp the fundamentals of blockchain and the unique propositions of the ICP. Plan their learning pathway Grilling them and they and this end pitch and rating

  • Strategic Planning (Week 2 - 4): Teams assess their current standing and set ambitious yet achievable goals for growth and development using the "Framework for Self-Paced Enterprise Growth". Finding the fidelity of the idea by speaking to mentors and defining their final idea and product with a roadmap and some hypothesis and customer interviews.

  • Pitching and Refinement (Week 4 - 8): A series of pitch sessions provides a platform for feedback and refinement of project ideas, fostering clarity and focus.

  • Mentorship and ZeroFunding Milestone (Week 8 - 12): Personalized mentorship and the commencement of the "ZeroFunding" phase empower teams to start building their MVPs, with a grant range for the most promising teams from $3,000 to $5,000.

  • MVP Presentation and Review : Concluding Phase 1, teams present their MVPs, sharing their progress and outlining a roadmap for the next development stages - with an evaluation for funding based on future accomplishments, financial plan model, roadmap and scalability of the product.
