Virtual Reality Pop-Up Class
April 11, 5-7pm
Lab A (of the Loyola Notre Dame Library)
Virtual reality technology provides us with the unique ability to travel to places we would not otherwise be able to reach and to experience events we would not otherwise be able to experience. The Space Telescope Science Institute’s Office of Public Outreach has leveraged virtual reality technology to take you on a journey across the Solar System to get up close and personal with NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope. Come witness the immense scale of Webb, learn about its engineering feats, or even take a journey into the heart of a protoplanetary disk – just one of the many science themes that Webb will be exploring.
