Breakout Session Proposal - 2020 CTE & Industry Summit
Thank you for your interest in presenting at the 2020 CTE & Industry Summit! The Summit will take place at the Salem Convention Center, in Salem, Oregon.


Presentations are 45 or 75 minutes long. Summit breakout session audience size may range from 10-75 people. Audience participants will likely include, community members, educators, industry representatives, and Career Technical Education students.

Selection Process & Confirmation
The Priority Deadline for submitted proposals is yet to be determined. All proposals submitted will be evaluated by the Summit Planning Committee and notified whether or not selected for our breakout sessions. The Summit Planning Committee will review the proposals submitted and select those we see best aligned with the CTE & Industry Summit's mission to engage students, educators, and industry professionals together.

Selected presenters must register and pay the discounted speaker registration fee--if selected we will notify you of the date by which you must register. We use this to confirm your participation and will assign you a spot on the schedule after you have registered. After sessions are scheduled, you will have the opportunity to provide information for our event mobile app.

When registration goes live to the general public, each registrant will select specific sessions they wish to attend. We will evaluate registration numbers per session as we approach the event and will make scheduling changes, including possibly removing sessions. Our goal is to ensure the Summit is as valuable as possible for our attendees, including our breakout session presenters.

All notifications and other communications will be via email and via the app.
Breakout Session Guidelines
The CTE & Industry Summit brings together students, educators, and industry professionals to shape Career Technical Education and therefore the future workforce.

All presentations should strive to speak to all three audiences (students, educators, and industry professionals). It's preferred if the presentation is given by all three groups as well.

You can share your best practices, why CTE matters in your experience, trends in CTE and workforce development, and other related topics.
