This award recognizes a Colorado-based CIO, CTO, CDO or Head of Technology who has demonstrated ingenuity in leading an IT team and implementing technology projects that improve organizational effectiveness. Nominees from all organization sizes are eligible.
All nominations must be submitted via this electronic form, and once submitted, all nominations are final. Your award nomination must be submitted by Wednesday, November 19.
Eligibility:
1. Nominees must be a Colorado resident and/or a Colorado business with a significant physical presence in Colorado.
2. Nominees for CEO, Technology Leader & CISO of the year awards must be in their current role for at least 1 year.
3. Nominees for Emerging Tech Company must have been in operation for less than five years, while nominees for Company of the Year must have been operating for more than five years.
4. Previous winners are not eligible to win. Previous nominees and finalists are encouraged to submit a nomination again.
5. Self-nominations are welcome.
6. Finalists are expected to make themselves available for the video/photo shoot in January (date TBA) and attend the awards program on Wednesday, Feb. 18.
7. Nominations are due Wednesday, November 19 by 5:00pm MST.
8. Individuals and organizations from the public sector, private sector, and consulting firms are eligible to apply, provided they meet the criteria above.
General Judging Criteria:
Technology Leadership – Leverages innovative technologies and digital solutions to transform operations, solve complex challenges, and create a competitive advantage for the organization.
Business Impact – Drives meaningful results that advance organizational goals, including improved performance, operational efficiency, revenue growth, or enhanced customer and employee experiences.
Team Empowerment – Fosters collaboration, mentorship, and access opportunities that strengthen and elevate technical teams.
Community & Industry Influence – Supports Colorado’s tech ecosystem and helps position it as a national leader.
CTA's panel of judges are looking for well thought-out, detailed nominations that showcase accomplishments over time and in the past year. Nominations lacking these components are less likely to be considered for finalist and/or winner designations. We recommend collaborating directly with your nominee to provide quality information.
