School Directory: Assist with compiling and proofing data (August).
Spirit Sales - Help design, procure and sell Wilson Spirit shirts and other items. (Begins in August with sales opportunities throughout the year).
Community/Family Outreach - support to Wilson families in need (opportunities throughout the year)
Welcome Back Breakfast for Teachers: PTSA provides breakfast to the teachers on their first day back (August).
Dance-a-thon: Collect donations on Tuesday and Thursday mornings (8:30 - 9:45) at Wilson for two to three weeks (September).
Conference Night Dinners: Plan, procure, set up, and clean up (September 24 and February 4).
Talent Show: Help our students showcase their talents.
Principal Roundtables - Help coordinate for each grade (October and January)
Red Card Luncheon: Plan, procure and set-up luncheon for achieving students (November, February, April)
Book Fair: Set-up and help coordinate book sales (October).
Fall Festival: Assist with ticket sales, dinner service and games for our annual FUNdraiser (October).
Five-Star Award: Help Wilson keep our "Five-Star" Designation. Collect and submit our entry for the award (Few things during the year and then submittal in April).
8th Grade Celebration: The celebration of our graduating class. Need 7th and 8th grade parents to help plan, set-up and chaperone event (May)
Reflections: A Statewide Fine Arts competition that needs a mentor to chair the event (pick categories of entry, advertise and hold a Wilson competition and then submit winners to the national competition).
Staff Appreciation Week: Organize and plan the week-long celebration of our Wilson faculty and staff. (May)
PTSA Executive Board Positions: For next year, there are eight PTSA Executive Board positions that your name can be submitted for. (President, Vice President (4), Corresponding Secretary, Recording Secretary and Treasurer).
Grade Liaison: One per grade, help "as-needed" per teachers.
Copy Committee: Sign up to make copies for the faculty.
Mentoring: Volunteers would have weekly sessions with a student to provide academic, social and mentoring guidance.
Advocacy: Keep up with any legislative events in education or changes in public school policies/initiatives.
Foreign Language - Do you speak a foreign language fluently? Would you be interested in helping with Wilson's diverse student body? From time-to-time the Wilson staff encounters new families to our community· that might need assistance with communication. Please list the language you could assist with:
