SAFA Competitions Comittee Event Sanction Application
Version:
CMP-01 Ver: 20210505

Competition organizers wishing to apply for a SAFA sanctioning of their event, need to give the Competitions Committee relevant details through the form provided below. Applications through the previous PDF form are no longer accepted by the Competition Committee.

Please refer to the competition manual in its latest version for the full list of requirements to obtain a competition sanction. The Competition Committee may request further information via email to support an application. The Competition Committee may alter aspects of a competition if there is a clash with other competitions, or for any reason.

The CC may consider any sanction application at any time, but once awarded, sanctions will not be revoked unless there are extenuating circumstances to warrant a change.

Link to the FAI 'local regulations file on your website"
The FAI now requires a document which contains the 'essential' information that a pilot may require to attend your competition. Confusingly, this is known to the FAI as the 'local regulations' which are actually different to what Australian's have called the 'local rules/regulations'. Before the FAI will consider your competition for a Category 2 sanction, this document needs to be present on your website with the appropriate details to suit your competition. A link to a sample document can be found on the SAFA website under Pilot Tools -> Forms and Docs | Competition.
