Student-Athlete Health, Safety, and Concussion Training
This training includes information about the health and safety of student-athletes.
A five question assessment will follow the training and must be completed with 100% accuracy.
Completion of this online training fulfills requirements set forth by Virginia Code § 22.1-271.5/Virginia Code § 22.1-271.6 and SCPS Policy JJAC regarding concussion education.
Both the student-athlete and parent/guardian are required to complete the training TOGETHER and sign the awareness and acknowledgement form indicating that training has been completed. A form must be submitted for each student-athlete.
The awareness and acknowledgement form is only available at the end of the training via email or your student-athlete's athletic department.
The awareness and acknowledgement form must be PRINTED, signed, and submitted to the Athletic Director/Athletic Trainer at the student-athlete's school.
Completing and submitting this training is also electronically documented. An electronic documentation must occur for each student-athlete and parent/guardian.
If you have any questions or would like transcripts from this training please contact the Athletic Director at your child's school.
Please note that the training form must be PRINTED. School computer labs are available for completing the training and printing needed paperwork.
