FORMAT AND EVENT DETAILS:
  • WHEN: Sunday, March 9th 2025, 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Rd #1 starts at 12:30 pm.
  • SCHEDULE: 12:00 check in,12:30 - 5:30 tournament
  • WHERE: 730 Cochrane Dr #1,Markham
  • WHAT: 5-round single-round Rapid Event (Swiss), using a 25 min + 5 sec time control.
  • DIVISIONS: Open
  • RATED: CFC Quick Rated
  • TIEBREAK RULES:  1) Direct encounter 2) Buchholz 3) Greater number of victory 4) sum of the rating of opponent
  • REGISTRATION: On-line registration ends March 9th at 10:00 am. No on-site registration will be accepted.
  • ENTRY FEE:  $35/ entry by March 5th; regular:$40
  • PAYMENT METHOD: Please EMT to chess4winofficial@gmail.com(with player's full name, CFC ID and Event mentioned as note)
  • MAXIMUM CAPACITY: 60 players.
  • NOTES: No requested bye points in this event. Clocks and chess set are provided. By signing up, you permit Chess4win the ability to take and use photos from the tournament on its social media. If you would not like your photo used, please email us at chess4winofficial@gmail.com.

WITHDRAW POLICY:

  • Pre-registered and pre-paid participants who withdraw at least 3 days before the event start date are eligible for a refund via EMT, subject to a $5 handling fee deducted from the entry fee. In all other cases, the full credit will be retained for use in future events.  
  • All emergencies should go through  chess4winofficial@gmail.com  for communications regarding withdrawal, travel delays, or other late-breaking information.
