Liberty ELAC Nominations/Nominacíon de ELAC 

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Elections will be held for Parent Representatives to the Liberty Elementary School English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) for the 2023/24 school year.  ELAC is a committee consisting of teachers, staff members, and parents of students whose first language is not English. It is a meeting place where parents can participate and provide input for programs and services for English Learners.

We have openings for this year’s committee for parent representatives.  Any parent/guardian whose child attends our school is eligible to be an ELAC representative.  ELAC meets at least four times a year.  If you would like to place your name on the ballot for Parent Representative, please complete this form along with one paragraph explaining why you would like to be a part of the English Learner Advisory Committee by 8:00 AM, Friday, September 15, 2023.

•       Leads the meeting

•       Signs letters or documents

•       Attends SSC meetings

 Vice Chair

•       Helps the chairperson in any or all of the tasks

 Secretary

•       Takes meeting notes

•       Keeps and maintains documents in a binder

DELAC/DAC Representatives and Alternates

•       Attends DAC/DELAC meetings and shares information with ELAC

Se llevarán a cabo las elecciones para representantes de los padres del Comité Asesor De Los Estudiantes Aprendiz De Inglés (ELAC) de la escuela Liberty para el año 2023/2034.  ELAC es un Comité integrado por maestros, personal del plantel y padres de alumnos cuyo primer idioma no es el inglés. Es un lugar de encuentro donde los padres pueden participar y aportar sus opiniones para programas y servicios de los estudiantes aprendiz del Inglés (ELL).

Contamos con aberturas para el Comité de este año de representantes de los padres.  Cualquier padre cuyo hijo asiste a nuestra escuela es elegible para ser un representante de ELAC.  ELAC se reúne al menos cuatro veces al año.  Si desea colocar su nombre en la boleta para el representante de padres, por favor llene la parte inferior de este anuncio junto a un párrafo explicando por qué desea formar parte de la Comisión Consultiva del alumno inglés y regresar de la escuela 8:00AM viernes 15 de septiembre de 2023.
