In an effort to help evaluate the ability level of your team, we ask that you provide the following information. Please rate your team as a whole on the following soccer skills by selecting the appropriate number, with the number 1 being the lowest ability and 10 the highest. We then ask that you total your team's score and place at the bottom. Please check if you acknowledge this requirement.
Required
Ball Movement
#1 - Team generally does not have the ability to move the ball into the defensive end of the field. Most goals scored are as a result of the other team’s mistakes. Team makes very few attempts to pass to teammates or dribble the ball up field. #10 – Team has the ability to pass and dribble. Makes an attempt at offensive plays. Players understand their positions and team averages 8 or more goals per game.
Goalkeeper
#1 – Team has many goalkeepers. Goalie tends to shy away from other team’s shots and does not move to block other team’s shots. Does not know what to do with the ball if a save is made. Slow reaction time. #10 – Team has generally one goalkeeper. Allows less than 3 goals per game. Not afraid to dive to block a goal. Will attempt to both block and catch a shot.
General Team Knowledge
#1 – Team physically has problems running the length of the field. Team is consistently playing defense and is not aware of all the rules of the game. Continuous use of hands and arms when making ball contact. #10 – Well conditioned athletes who are fit enough to play offense and defense. Players will try to get into position when they do not have the ball. Uses other than foot to stop or advance the ball. Players will try to help and encourage teammates.
