Students Rising is launching our first ever Resistance Class at SF State & City College. This will be a space for students to confront authoritarianism, engage in popular education, and grow their leadership skills.
Every month, Students Rising will host a popular education workshop based around the following topics:
March—Student & Labor Solidarity: Students vs Billionaires
April—Do Elections Still Matter?
May—Summer of Resistance: Fighting for an Immigrant Rights Agenda
Being part of the Resistance Class, our hope is also to connect students to Rapid Response opportunities with our partners in the community who are on the front lines of defending immigrants. There will be organizing trainings, direct actions, and cultural events we hope to connect students into. The more organized we can be now, the better prepared we'll be for any rapid response needs.
